Children’s Theatre Company (CTC) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of School Engagement Coordinator. This full-time benefits-eligible position requires someone who has demonstrated sales and customer service skills, as having proficiency in teaching and lesson planning and the ability to positively contribute to an anti-racist organization and assist in dismantling structural racism in theatre. Applicants for this role should have exceptional attention to detail, communication and relationship building skills, and demonstrated time-management, and problem-solving skills.

POSITION SUMMARY
The School Engagement Coordinator’s primary role is to process, promote, and maximize school matinee ticket sales. This position expands and strengthens relationships and engagement with school groups and other partner organizations. As a key member of the Education Department, this role creates educational materials related to CTC productions for student matinees and provides other support to the Education team, particularly for Theatre Arts Training summer camps.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
School Engagement
• Market and promote student matinee program to existing and new school relationships
• Take and process educational group reservations for all CTC Student Matinee performances, including phone and online reservations, ticket and bus subsidies, issuing contracts, seat confirmations, billing and payments, and all required follow-up to secure payment and attendance
• Coordinate busing and ticket reservations for Opening Act, which allows all 2nd Graders in the Minneapolis School District to attend CTC free of charge
• Checks in school groups at matinees, coordinates roster and special seating needs with Performance Supervisor and Bus Greeter
• Coordinate with House Manager any special considerations such as sensory and ASL needs.
• Coordinate and facilitate Educator Preview Nights, Season Kick Off Events, and in-school workshops
• Work with director to create educational materials related to the shows including, Educator Guide, workshop curriculum, and Educator Preview Night packets
• Acts as liaison to Marketing Department
• Provide support to the Theatre Arts Training office (full-time support during summer)
Collaborate with all staff in the furtherance of CTC’s goal of being an anti-racist theatre that works towards Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion
• Encourage and empower everyone to speak out against racist workplace practices and policies
• Study topics that lead to a deeper understanding of how white supremacy, racial violence, and systemic racism have shaped American society and how that shapes CTC’s workplace and the lives of CTC employees
• Positively contribute to the ACT One platform, creating a future where our theatre is a home for all people, all families, reflective of our community
COMPENSATION
The starting pay range for this full-time position is an hourly rate between $21.15 and $23.07. Benefits include medical, dental and vision insurance; short-term and long-term disability and life insurance; vacation and sick leave; nine paid holidays; and a 403(b)-retirement savings plan.
