Job Overview
The Weddings and Sacraments Coordinator is the first contact person for weddings and infant baptisms in Georgetown University Catholic Ministry.
They manage pertinent wedding and baptismal documents; coordinate wedding rehearsals; provide logistical guidance and liturgical support at weddings; and coordinate scheduling of all sacramental celebrations.
As a member of the Sacramental Team, the Coordinator participates in team meetings and assists with special projects resulting from this collaboration - ensuring that the Office of Campus Ministry can achieve its mission/purpose, goals, and objectives.
Work Interactions
Under the direction of the Director of Catholic Life, the Weddings and Sacraments Coordinator is a member of the Catholic Chaplaincy and works within the Sacramental Preparation Programs, for weddings and baptisms.
As well, they work in close conjunction with the Liturgical Music Director, the Assistant Director of Liturgy and Music, and other Campus Ministry staff members. The Coordinator oversees work study students. The Coordinator works closely with students, alumni, their families and guests.
Qualifications
High School diploma
Up to 2 years of similar or equivalent work experience.
Strong customer service skills and the ability to provide a hospitable environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills and attention to detail
Proficiency with standard office PC applications, specifically Word and Excel
Familiarity with email, databases, and other PC office applications
