The Savannah Country Day School seeks a dynamic Chorus teacher to join its learning community for the 2023-2024 academic year. This full-time position will include teaching assignments in our Middle and Upper Schools, as well as serving as the Musical Director for all school musicals. The ideal candidate will be able to meet the varied needs of our diverse student body, teaching multiple levels of vocal performance, to include Music Theory. A willingness to engage in a critical dialogue about instructional practice with peers and a desire to be involved in a wide range of school activities in and outside of the classroom are also essential.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Music or a related field, Master’s Degree strongly preferred.
Three (3) or more years’ teaching experience strongly desired.
Excellent communication skills and a willingness to function as part of the Fine & Performing Arts team is desired.
Attendance at evening and weekend functions is occasionally required.
