Assistant Professor of Music, Director of the Simpson College Jazz Ensemble
The Department of Music invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Music position to begin in August 2023. The successful candidate will direct the Simpson College Jazz Ensemble, provide instruction in their applied area, and teach general music courses. Direct the Simpson College Jazz Ensemble; offer individual instruction to majors and non-majors in the candidate’s applied area; teach an instrumental methods course and a jazz methods course for music education majors; coach instrumental chamber music (including jazz combo), and teach other courses as assigned such as jazz history, popular music, or general education courses in music.
