The Wenatchee Valley Symphony Orchestra is seeking a dynamic individual to lead the Association and fulfill its mission of culturally enriching the communities of North Central Washington through music performance, outreach, and education.
COMMUNITY
Centrally located in Washington State, Wenatchee lies at the confluence of the Wenatchee and Columbia Rivers, in the heart of apple, wine, and wheat country. Manufacturing, education, healthcare, recreation, and agriculture provide for a quality of life that makes the area consistently ranked among favorite places to live and work. The Wenatchee area enjoys the lowest power rates in the nation, good schools, a vibrant arts community, and a relaxed-yet-modern lifestyle.
ORGANIZATION
From its beginnings in 1947, the Wenatchee Valley Symphony Orchestra has grown into one of the musical jewels of the greater Wenatchee arts community. Under the artistic direction of Dr. Nikolas Caoile, this all-volunteer symphony orchestra excels at programming, presentation, and artistry. Each season the orchestra produces four series concerts, presents multiple performances of the Nutcracker Ballet, performs at special events, and provides educational outreach programs in the community. The Wenatchee Valley Youth Orchestra also trains up young musicians with one-on-one coaching and performs three concerts per season, including an occasional collaboration with the adult symphony orchestra.
