Summary
The Director of the Theatre Program is responsible for staging student performances each year, overseeing all aspects of performances from casting to final presentations. The Director of the Theatre program will also teach theatre related courses.
Duties & Responsibilities
Plan, direct, and oversee school theatre productions, including casting, rehearsals, and management of elements such as sets, costumes, props, and lighting.
Introduce new and creative ideas for each production to maintain and elevate the quality of the theatre program.
Teach theatre arts classes, covering topics such as acting and improvisational theater.
Design and implement lesson plans that foster creativity and inspire passion for theatre.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Theatre, Theatre Education, or a relevant field. Master’s degree preferred. Master’s degree preferred
Strong knowledge of theatre production, including acting, directing, technical aspects and stage management.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Technically proficient.
This position requires a background check, and the employee must complete the Safe Environment Training course offered through the Archdiocese of Louisville. The course must be completed within 30 days of employment.
