Position Summary
The Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra is accepting applications for a Stewardship and Individual Giving Officer. The Stewardship and Individual Giving Officer is responsible for managing the OPO’s annual fund solicitation and stewardship activities including the United Arts of Central Florida Collaborative Campaign solicitations and communication calendar, Year-End Campaign, Season-End Campaign, smaller program solicitations, and a special events calendar including cultivation, and fundraising events. The Stewardship and Individual Giving Officer will work closely with the Director of Philanthropy and Philanthropy Coordinator to research and identify new prospects while stewarding existing relationships.
Essential Job Functions
Manage a growing portfolio of 50 donors and prospects resulting in a minimum of $125,000 annually. This includes direct solicitation of donors through face-to-face meetings, written letters, electronic, and other communication.
Manage donor recognition programs to ensure timely and meaningful acknowledgment.
Maintain a donor pipeline and tracking system for annual fund donors and work closely with the Director of Philanthropy to identify major donors.
Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to create compelling fundraising materials and narratives.
Develop and implement innovative fundraising and stewardship strategies to identify, attract, cultivate, and steward donors and sponsors.
Plan and coordinate stewardship events, receptions, and donor appreciation activities to foster a sense of community and engagement among supporters. Collaborate with other departments to integrate stewardship opportunities into concerts, rehearsals, and special events.
Support and manage organization fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives that align with the orchestra’s mission and objectives.
Maintain accurate records of fundraising progress and special event attendance while reporting regularly on progress.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with donors, stakeholders, and philanthropic entities through effective communication and personalized engagement strategies.
Research and attract new donors and sponsors.
Prepare reports for Board and Committee meetings as requested.
Attend concerts and support events as a representative of the OPO Philanthropy Team.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Competencies
3 years of direct fundraising experience
Experience with arts and culture fundraising is preferred
Clear and concise communication, both verbally and in writing
Demonstrated competency in tracking and reporting financials and impact
Computer competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
Education and Experience Preferences
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Tessitura or other CRM Software experience preferred
Previous experience in a nonprofit environment preferred
Compensation
$50,000- $55,000 annually commensurate with experience.
