Conductor, Northern Symphony Orchestra (MN)
The Northern Symphony Orchestra in Anoka, Minnesota, is seeking applicants for the position of conductor. Three finalists will be asked to conduct rehearsals and one concert during the 2024-25 season. The NSO Board will choose a new conductor, based on input from the orchestra’s musicians, to begin in fall 2025. The conductor is an integral part of the artistic leadership team, and primary director of the NSO. They are responsible for rehearsing and leading the orchestra in its 3-4 concerts each season. In collaboration with key volunteer leaders from the ensemble, they will also lead decisions about the orchestra's programming, and take part in long-range artistic and organizational planning.
