We are seeking a strong, hands-on Website Product Manager to lead the strategic and day-to-day management of EdTA’s six websites. You will also develop a strategic roadmap and perform the tactical execution for the websites.
Job Responsibilities:
Website Strategy and Development
Define EdTA’s website strategy to meet business objectives and create a holistic user experience across platforms. Develop, execute, and maintain a clear and concise roadmap.
Translate business goals and end-user needs into product strategy.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define and detail market-specific needs/requirements and ensure the financial viability of new development.
Research and analyze current trends in online audience habits and online market environments to establish measurable benchmarks for EdTA websites.
Analyze website performance by conducting site audits and reviewing analytics to continually refine sites based on learnings.
Meet with users and stakeholders as needed to understand processes, pain points, and system waste to identify where to improve the user experience.
Set up and report on marketing campaigns using Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics (Universal and GA4) to help the organization understand how conversions take place and how the user flow could be improved.
Ensure websites follow best practices to increase traffic, accessibility, improve user/member engagement, and acquire customer leads.
Website Execution and Maintenance
Manage the full product life cycle of EdTA’s websites, focusing on site usage, retention, member satisfaction, ROI, and other association objectives.
Perform day-to-day management of websites on WordPress, eShow, OpenWater and Higher Logic CMS platforms – configuration, administration, maintenance, and content posting as needed.
In collaboration with the graphic designer, develop page layouts, templates, and widgets to meet current business needs. Identify, install, and maintain plug-ins as needed.
Implement tracking mechanisms to measure effectiveness of content and ecommerce goals.
Work collaboratively with all departments to deploy solutions for content, advertising, member support, events, and other association needs.
Receive, prioritize, and complete incoming requests from stakeholders while keeping in mind the business strategy, product vision, and user needs.
Create monthly reports to update leadership on website performance.
Maintain relationships with external developers and internet service provider.
Job Location: This is a fully remote position.
Education and Experience Required:
Knowledge and skills at a level normally acquired by completion of a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, web design, or related field
Experience in website/product management with media or consumer-facing online technologies
Skills and Qualifications:
Expert knowledge of responsive web development, HTML, and CSS
Highly skilled in WordPress administration with adaptability to various CMS platforms (experience with Elementor page builder and Higher Logic a plus)
Proficient in photo editing and graphics development software, as well as Office 365
Expert knowledge of Google Analytics, including Google Analytics 4, Tag Manager, Search Console, Data Studio and AdWords, as well as SEO best practices
Proficient in managing DNS and website hosting, SSL certificates and other essential website administration functions
Functional understanding of website coding allowing you to troubleshoot problems and identify solutions
Ability to work independently and prioritize a wide-ranging workload
Excellent project management skills with strong deadline orientation
Experience managing projects using Jira, Trello, Wrike, or similar project management software a plus
Ability to adapt to change in the work environment; manage competing demands; change approach or method to best fit the situation; and deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems in a timely manner
Ability to speak both business and coding languages a liaise between the two worlds
