We are seeking an energetic individual to support operations and logistics for EdTA’s International Thespian Festival and Theatre Education Conference. As a member of the events team, you will assist with registration, housing, and program activities for our signature events that attract and delight our member students and teachers.
Support the registration “help desk” by providing all aspects of registration customer service via phone and email.
Process event registrations and housing assignments for event attendees, ensuring that all registrant documents are complete and accurate.
Create and distribute registration reports regularly to keep management informed of registration trends.
Provide sponsorship activation and on-site sponsor/exhibitor support.
Assist with venue and program logistics such as scheduling, meeting space/classroom assignments, room layouts, and A-V arrangements.
Work with vendors, venues, and partners to determine on-site program needs.
Assist with onsite set-up, production and tear down for events.
Assist with virtual event production for hybrid and virtual events
Location: This is a fully remote position.
2-4 years prior hands-on events coordination experience
Ability to successfully manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously with an eagle eye for details
Adaptability, organization, and time management — you can juggle many priorities and shift gears quickly
Strong customer service orientation with ability to politely and kindly but firmly enforce event policies
Excellent communicator and relationship builder able to effectively interact with members, volunteers, vendors, sponsors, and staff
Ability to prioritize and act independently within your own authority
Sound judgment and grace under pressure before and during events — you’re a problem solver who anticipates potential issues and identifies solutions
Must be comfortable using and learning technology, and helping others do so
Ability and willingness to advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion at all levels of the organization
