Teach instrumental music education and other courses according to expertise
Teach in primary applied area and coach instrumental ensembles as needed
Recruit actively for the department
Administrative responsibility for planning, concerts, touring, and the supervision
of instrumental budget, equipment and library
Coordinate student-led athletic pep band
Committee work as assigned
Doctorate preferred, master's degree required
Minimum of 3 years successful public school teaching experience
Evidence of successful conducting and performance
Proven ability to work well with colleagues, and to maintain cooperative
relationships with area music educators and the community
Commitment to the university’s Evangelical Christian mission
Capacity to examine diverse perspectives with academic rigor, while respecting the university’s Statement of Faith (Baptist Faith and Message 2000) and refraining from the promotion of contrary positions.

Commensurate with qualifications and experience. Tenure-track position.
