The Director of Orchestral Operations is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the orchestra with a team of seven staff including Orchestra Personnel Manager, Librarian and Stage Manager. The role involves the preparation and control of operational budgets, venue bookings, recruitment and personnel matters for musicians, and coordination of special projects such as tours, recordings and outdoor concerts. The role works closely with the Music Director and the Director of Artistic Planning and is a key member of the HK Phil’s senior management team.
We are seeking a motivated individual who has strong communication skills and a passion for working in the performing arts. Applicants should be degree holders with at least ten years of experience, five of which at a senior management level in a performing arts organization, preferably in a symphony orchestra. Good knowledge of orchestral repertoire and orchestral culture is a must.
