Job Title: Executive Director
Job Type: Full-time exempt salaried position, reporting to the Juneau Symphony Executive Committee
Hours: Standard 40 hour work week; evenings and weekends as needed for board meetings, concerts, and special events.
• Demonstrated leadership ability; experience in supervision, conflict resolution, fundraising, resource development, marketing, public relations, and audience development, especially in the nonprofit sector. • Budget and financial management skills. • A management style that emphasizes consensus-building and the importance of teamwork. • Ability to effectively use social media; data base, office productivity, communication, and presentation software. • Desire to be a tireless advocate for the Juneau Symphony. • Ability to work effectively with all Juneau arts organizations. • Possess a valid driver’s license.
Desirable: • Knowledge of orchestral music production and operations. • Experience using Quicken and Vendini ticketing system. • Experience working in the nonprofit sector, reporting directly to a board of directors. • Knowledge of reporting requirements for nonprofit organizations.
